Eligibility Criteria to apply for 10th, 12th pass job in J&K

Domicile:
Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before the cut-off date.

Age Limit:

  • General category (OM): 18 to 28 years
  • SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, and OBC categories: 18 to 28 years
  • In-Service Police Personnel: Up to 30 years
  • Government Service/Contractual Employment: Up to 28 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of the period of service from actual age, provided the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit by more than 3 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Constable (Armed/IRP): Matriculation (10th Standard)
  • Constable (Telecommunication): 10+2 with science
  • Constable (Photographer): 10+2 with science, along with a 6-month computer course and two years of experience in videography/photography

Selection Process for Police jobs in J&K for 10th pass

The selection process for the JK Police Constable Recruitment 2024 involves multiple stages:

  1. Written Examination:
  • Objective type exam consisting of multiple-choice questions (in English).
  1. Physical Standard Test (PST):
  • For males: Height 5-6” (minimum), Chest 32” (unexpanded) and 33 ½” (expanded).
  • For females: Height 5-2” (minimum).
  1. Physical Endurance Test (PET):
  • For males: 1600 meters race in 6 ½ minutes and 20 push-ups.
  • For females: 1000 meters race in 6 ½ minutes and shot put (4Kgs) 14 ½ feet in three attempts.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation in standards as per norms.
  1. Document Verification (DV):
  • Candidates shortlisted after PST and PET will undergo document verification.
