Eligibility Criteria: to apply for RRB JE 2024

• Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Three-year Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Chemical Supervisor (Research) & Metallurgical Supervisor (Research): B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Technology or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Age limit as follows

Note: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a one-time age relaxation of 3 years beyond the prescribed upper age limit has been granted for these posts.

Posting for RRB JEs

• Carefully choose your Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) location, as transfers are not easily granted.
  • Initial Posting: Railway employees are generally appointed to a specific Railway or Railway establishment and will serve there throughout their career.
• Transfer Policy:
  • Employees do not have a right to transfer to another Railway or establishment.
  • Transfers can occur in the interest of service, including to different departments or Railway establishments, and even to projects in or outside India.
• Transfer Requests:
  • Requests for transfers to other Railways will not be considered until the employee has completed at least 5 to 10 years of service.
