One of the advantage of DSSSB jobs are that the exam process is transparent. Paper leaks are almost unheard of – last it happened was in 2017. So the track record of this recruitment board is good.

And the best part is it

A question you’ll have is, who’ll be considered OBC here? Answer is, OBC (Delhi) – the OBC list created by the Govt of Delhi – will be given all the benefits. All other OBC (outside) candidates can submit their application under UR category.

So apply under the right category, as the wrong application will lead to rejection – even at later stages.

Expected Cut off marks for the DSSSB MTS 10th pass vacancy

The minimum qualifying marks are 60-80 for various categories. On top of that depending upon vacancies and marks of the candidates – cut off marks for each dept will vary.

And one thing is for sure – cut off is going to go higher. Why? UP Police exams were delayed. Haryana Police exams were restricted to Haryana CET qualified candidates only. And the qualification for DSSSB MTS is basic. So a lot of students – even from the outside states will apply. So I’d say you should aim for 65%-70% marks for secure the desired job.

Although you also have the option to not give any preference in which case, the Board will take the decision at its discretion. I’d not recommend doing that because leaving it to the Board’s decision maynot be the best strategy.

Here’re all the vacancies by the respective boards

DEPARTMENT OF DELHI ARCHIVES3
DIRECTORATE OF AUDIT4
LAW, JUSTICE AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS5
DEPARTMENT OF ARCHAEOLOGY6
LAND & BUILDING DEPARTMENT7

OFFICE OF THE CHIEF ELECTORAL OFFICER16
LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SECRETARIAT32
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTS OFFICE64
DEPARTMENT OF TRAINING AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION86
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE99
DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT194
Total567

Well I’m not an Astrologer, but out of these, I believe most students will be going for Secretariat, Audit, Law dept – because of its association with power. While few people might apply for Electoral office, Archives, Social welfare, etc. because they may involve deputation and public dealing. But these are my guesses. You should go with what you are interested in to find greater career satisfaction.
