SBI PO 2024: Essential Educational qualifications
Graduation: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Final Year Students: Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation can also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before the year end.
Integrated Dual Degree (IDD): Candidates with an IDD certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before the year end.
Other Qualifications: Candidates with professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible to apply.
I’m in my final year of graduation. Can I apply for the SBI PO exam?
Yes, final year students or those in final semester can apply for the SBI PO exam provisionally. However, you must be able to produce proof of passing the final graduation examination on or before the year end – at the time of Interview.

Pre-Examination Training by SBI
The bank will provide online pre-examination training for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and Religious Minority communities, as per the Government of India guidelines. Eligible candidates who want to take this training should indicate this preference in the online application form.
Is this pre exam training enough to clear SBI PO exams?
Unfortunately, I feel this training is a lip-service. Students prepare for this exam for years whereas the official training provided is only about for a week or two. Clearing SBI PO exam based on this pre-exam training is difficult – you have to self-study (coaching or no coaching) strategically as per your strengths and weaknesses.
SBI PO 2024 Exam pattern
As stated there are 3 phases of this reputed exam and every stage is important.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

SBI PO Mains exams will have 2 separate exams – Objective (4 sections) and Descriptive exams (1 section). The descriptive exam will be held immediately after the Objective exam.
